The main path around the side of the Sighthill redevelopment. I believe this is to become part of the cycle routes from Cumbernauld and Springburn to the city centre.

An inexplicable hairpin bend feature on the path around the side of the Sighthill site redevelopment. I believe this is to be the replacement cycle route between the city centre and Springburn.

I don't think the replacement Sighthill Bridge will be opening in "the early months of 2022". https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=27331

"Footpath Closed" - the footway wasn't closed, it was the cycleway.

The area around the old boat has been tidied up and new paths laid.

Redeveloped canal bank at Port Dundas Basin.

I remain to be convinced that priorities have really changed.

Cycle parking stands at the Sighthill Community Campus.

Sighthill regeneration continues. From the width of this path, and the toucan crossings at the junction, it appears it may be a shared-use path in place of the Glasgow to Cumbernauld cycle route path that used to be here.

Another view of #172734, showing the narrow footway between the toucan crossing and the boundary fence.

Still plenty to do to connect up the replacement bridge across the M8 motorway between Townhead and Sighthill.

The replacement Sighthill footbridge is now in place across the M8 motorway. See also #172744.

Not a promising look for the Sighthill "cycling village". A toucan crossing with not even a bike's length between the kerb and the fence at the back of the footway. See also #172813.

Fountainwell Road is presently closed in Sighthill, so St Rollox Drive is temporarily not a through road. The road on the right has been opened, and is presently the sole road access to the residential area of Sighthill.

The signed diversion route is shut! Still no dropped kerb.

Ambiguous diversion sign for pedestrians and cyclists (the closed "footway" is the path from Craighall Road to Pinkston Road, alongside the motorway), and fancy electronic sign for motorists.

No change to the diversion signs in #95364 and #95363.

The path between Craighall Road and Pinkston Road is now closed for construction work. This path leads to #165573.

Pedestrians and cyclists diverted into the presently dead-end Pinkston Road, but motorists are not.

"Cyclists Dismount And Use Footway" - the Sighthill diversion route appears to have been signed along the footway of various roads, none of which are actually signed as being shared use, so why dismount here?

No turns between the new St Rollox Drive and Keppochhill Drive. There is also no connection from the cycleway to Keppochhill Drive industrial estate. Must U-turn at the Keppochhill Road junction crossing.

The new road layout at the junction of Fountainwell Road and St Rollox Drive does not include a connection to the new cycleway. The speed of some of the traffic on the new road seemed quite high.

After the smooth new path from the Springburn Expressway footbridge is this mess!

The path suddenly gets wider!

Protected signs on path closed for Sighthill's redevelopment (the original Glasgow-Cumbernauld cycle route), and a reopened path to Baird Street.

The path south from Pinkston Road has now closed.

Despite the emphasis on 'footpath' and 'pedestrians' on the signs, the only other person I saw on this path was also on a bike. Could do with a dropped kerb here.

The path southwards from Pinkston Road is still open during the Sighthill redevelopment.

A path that is still open during the Sighthill redevelopment, alongside Port Dundas Basin.

Dismantled cycleway in Sighthill redevelopment. This will be replaced by a zig-zag path and stairs straight up the hillside.

Routes through what was Sighthill Park closed due to redevelopment, and the bridge over the motorway is getting replaced at some point too. More information at www.glasgow.gov.uk/sighthill

Since the cycle route is closed for the next 3 years while Sighthill is redeveloped, it might be an idea to take down or cover up this sign. The park is no more, so take those signs away at the same time.
