As British Summer Time comes to an end this path starts getting covered in mud. This isn't just a nasty film of the slippy stuff, it's great big clods that have come off farm vehicles (at a guess, worse if it's not!). This more than pretty unpleasant, it's actually pretty dangerous. Hitting a clod could dislodge a rider.
