[Image taken 27.5.23] Wigginton Road, York. Uncontrolled growth restricts the width of the path and can create conflict with people on the other side of the offroad segregated route. When the foliage falls it seems to be left in situ further reducing the width of the route. Uncut foliage and left leaf litter make a route look uncared for and reduce the attractiveness as well as usability of active travel routes. But who is responsible? Northern Gas Networks - it's their sign on the works building. Or Nestle? Do the metal railings bound their site? Or CYC - is the NMU route theirs? Some other organisation? Or combination? Other image here today: #194424. Other image today and links: #194408.
