Haxby and Wiggington Methodist Church, The Village, Haxby. [NOTE: The scarecrows are in gardens of individuals and organisations. I have located them all at the Church that is the base for the event.] The squid was the most colourful scarecrow I saw on the parts of the black trail I did. The creator used it as a chance to provide some facts and do some awareness-raising (see: #193503). I also saw a display about hedgehogs with facts about making your garden safer and more attractive for them. One home, in addition to its scarecrow, had information about Down’s syndrome and containers for donations for an organisation that supports people and their families.
