[Image taken 16.4.23] York Medical Group, Monkgate, York. [NOTE: No street view at this location.] On this York Medical Group (www.yorkmedicalgroup.co.uk/) Monkgate site there is no access on a cycle – #170531. The footway leads to the barrier. There is no way round the barrier. The barrier does not lift for people on foot/on cycles. Drivers have priority over all other forms of transport/movement. Despite this being a health facility. The depth of the facility (assuming people have walked through the lawned area) is around 125m. Each way. Through a hostile environment. It’s clear this is not a ‘people’ space. Completely in opposition to the new Highway Code where the people (motorists) who can cause most harm have to take most care.
