Crash, police report:
"Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was hit by a car on the A14.
A white VW Crafter van struck a pedestrian on the westbound carriageway near junction 37 for the A11 yesterday (13 April) at about 5pm.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, was taken to Addenbrookes’ Hospital, in Cambridge, with serious injuries. She remains there today in a stable condition.
The van driver remained at the scene and is assisting with enquiries. The A14 and A11 were both closed for a number of hours while emergency services dealt with the incident."
