[Image taken 16.4.23] Village Street, York. There is just the one pavement but on Sundays it's unofficial car parking. I didn't think someone in a wheelchair of around 1m would be able to pass several of these cars. Grass is not part of the pavement. It is also not suitable for the wheels of mobility scooters, children's scooters, balance bikes, wheelchairs, wheeled walkers, the roller balls some partially sighted people use. Parking should not be permitted here. But we shouldn't need more yellow paint and signs, drivers shouldn't need to be told to keep pavements free. Context and links: #193049.
