The new protected cycle lane comes to an abrupt end before the roundabout and cyclists who don't want to use the circuitous and unpleasant underpass have to wait for a gap in the motor traffic and pull out to the right - why can they not go straight ahead, as before? Cyclists should not be forced off the highway.
