[Image taken 29.10.22] Nessgate junction with Coppergate, York. This York taxi driver was stopped on Nessgate when I was waiting to turn in. In the image s/he is moving off. It seemed s/he was dropping someone off. While stopped s/he was obstructing the cycle-only entry to Coppergate. It is filtered permeability. (Context: #186045.) There is a planter as well as the bollards. It enables people on cycles to enter Coppergate - either turning right from Clifford Street or left from Nessgate. The reason for the changes here were to make it safer for non motorised users [yorkmix.com/york-city-centre-street-to-become-permanently-one-way-due-to-significant-benefits/] Drivers (further instance: #186047) stopping to drop off passengers mean reaching it is much less safe.
