[Image taken 22.10.22] M X Park, Monks Cross Drive, Huntington, York YO32 9GZ. [NOTE: No street view yet at this location] There is no protected space that will be kept clear in front of the entrance. This means people – who could be carrying or accompanying children or vulnerable adults – will be approaching from behind the motor vehicles – and from personal experience I know drivers don’t always look/don’t always see ‘people’ in car parks. They could be walking towards and through vehicle fumes and into and through the door opening zone. Then they will reverse the trip which means they will have their backs to the vehicles reversing out of these spaces. Plus, some of the people making this trip may have a physical disability and use their cycle as a mobility aid. Some people will be carrying heavy or bulky items. Why wasn’t the cycle parking put closer to the entrance in place of two of these car parking spaces? Why aren’t the disabled car parking spaces here? Context and other images today: #187058.
