[10.8.22: A more recent image of obstruction here: #185426] [Image taken 3.8.22] Monks Cross Retail Park, Monks Cross, Huntington/York. Context: #173310. I went into TK Maxx and up to Homesense (www.homesense.com/stores/York_Monks_Cross). I spoke to ‘Steve’. He said it is customers parking on the cycle circuit. He said he cycles and it makes him angry too. I asked if he could tell his staff not to load vehicles stopped on the circuit but ask the driver to move to the marked loading bay a few metres away: #175612. He said he would. Other image this problem today: #185278, and on previous visits: #175976, #175616. The thing is, this could be a fun and sociable destination for many people including families, and a convenient 'reason to ride' for lots more people for example those with mobility issues riding adapted or bespoke designs. But the circuit needs protecting and promoting. And the cycle parking needs sorting out - thinning out: #156629.
