[Image taken 18.7.22] Lidl, James Street, York. [NOTE: No street view at this location] I visited at 07.30 on the morning on which the Met Office issued its first ever red heat warning. Temperatures in York were predicted to reach 35C. The external view of Lidl and the land around it. There must be other options to expanses of tarmac that are not used for much of a 24-hour period, are heat islands, and cause runoff.
