[Image taken 28.2.22] Knavesmire, York. [Note: No street view at this location.] During 2020 the beautiful handmade bench was either vandalised and/or rotted. It was well used by dog walkers, and people walking or cycling along NCN65. Two ‘pub style’ bench-table sets were put in and well used. I saw this permanent replacement today. (I haven’t been able to ride to here due to Terry Ave being closed see: #174754 and links.) I noted that one of the pub-style seating-eating arrangements remains. It is under the trees so is shaded in hot weather. The new bench has a plaque saying it was installed by the Rotary Club in 2021. Other images today see: #179509, #179510, #179511, #179512, #179513.
