[Image taken 4.2.22] Marygate Lane (ahead), junction with Railway Walk (to right of camera), Marygate car park, York. Now the compound has gone, you can see the hedges have been massively cut back. Does this make it safer feeling at night? But more noisy and polluted when the car park is in use? There's going to be a slope for people with buggies, cycles, wheelchairs, etc, somewhere along here. It will link this lower level with St Mary's as part of the Scarborough Bridge to Bootham Park Cycle Route Improvements. How is it going to fit in and such that people using the ramp and those passing the exit from/access to it will be safe and comfortable? Context: #177760. Will there be a sufficiently relaxed turning circle top and bottom? Will people need a 'runup' as per Scarborough Bridge (see: #168554). I am concerned the issues around using the slopes to/from that bridge (see: #168582); the congestion to get to/from and past the bottom of it (the space will be oversubscribed); will be mirrored here. With a few more issues of its own. For example, the cobbles are to remain. So it will be bumpy for all.
