The cycle off-slip at Finnieston Street allows cyclists to legally leave the carriageway and use the toucan crossing across Lancefield Quay to get to the National Cycle Network route 75, even when the traffic signals are on red. The similar cycle slip across the other side of the junction (see #173654) has been fenced off by a railing. Three sides of the junction have toucan crossings, but not the Finnieston Street side (the side seen in the photo).
