[Image taken 21.5.21] Marygate car park, York. Group of four bikepackers came through the floodgate ie from the riverside route along the Ouse. They conferred as to their route. They headed up the shallower of the slopes to/from Scarborough Bridge, turned right and descended the steeper slope. At the bottom, at the blind corner, they turned left and continued on the shared-use path now substantially closed in by hoardings. All at quite a pace. Note the indicative space requirements and the position of the two riders I managed to snap. Their route made no sense. However there are no maps here for pedestrians or cyclists despite the permeability of the area and it being on NCN65 and the Transpennine Trail. See also: #169487 and links
