[Image taken 23.4.21] Crossing on south side of Tesco roundabout, Clifton Moor Gate, York. It is quicker and more direct to cross here than on the other side of the roundabout. (But there's scope for user conflict at this drop kerb see: #167813.) There is one lane of traffic on this side of the island. Two on the other. And the motor vehicles can be very large. The width of the island is narrow if there are several people and mixed modes but it is deep enough to accommodate a trailer or 'family' cycle (compared with: #167810).
