[Image taken 23.4.21] Crossing on south side of Tesco roundabout, Clifton Moor Gate, York (see caption: #167812). Thanks to the dense network of offroad, segregated ped-cycle routes, this is motor traffic-dominated environment is quite permeable on foot/cycle/wheelchair. But the lack of signage and maps reduces the likelihood of people discovering this, exploring away from their 'known' (ant trail) route, or getting out of their cars and using it. Plus, the infrastructure has been designed to facilitate and prioritise onroad (motor) vehicle movements. This means crossing anywhere other than here is slow and involves multiple stops including waiting at lights. For more images of crossing south of the roundabout see: #167816, #167817, #167818. For the route to here from further south on Clifton Moor Gate see: #167809 and links. For other images of this area and associated issues, search on 'Clifton Moor Gate' and 'Hurricane Way'
