Cowards Lane appears to be used as a rat run by High Street traffic. It currently has a weight restruction. The lane is very narrow and winding with no footway. It is part of a National Cycle route. It is used by cyclists, horses and pedestrians. It could be made easier and appear much safer if through traffic were prevented by use of bollards. A restricted byway.
