"Curbside Haiku is an innovative project that employs art to convey safety messages to pedestrians. Artist John Morse created a set of 12 bright, eye-catching designs that mimic the style of street safety signs. Each sign is accompanied by a haiku poem that is either printed on an additional sign or embedded in the design as a QR Code. Curbside Haiku was installed on 144 lighting poles throughout the five boroughs. "
