Walensee - Standenhorn Tunnel
Location: , Dorfli (Canton of Glarus, Switzerland)
This tunnel with a length of 235 meters was built during the construction of the new road and todays motorway along the lake. It is only for cyclists and pedestrians. The old Standenhorn tunnel of the railway was reused for the road which was opened in 1964. Of that tunnel nothing can be seen today, except some old stones in the portal area of the road tunnel. This tunnel here does not have an own portal on the other side. It discharges into the escape tunnel from the Kerenzerberg tunnel of SBB on the east side (Sallernstollen).
