Fallowfield Loop Tunnel near Sainsburys see also #102221? and #102051
This is a great opportunity . To reopen the tunnel under Sainsbury's and reopen the approaches to provide a continuous cycleway to avoid all the problems as described in adjacent comments. This would be a big ticket and show that Manchester means business. madcyclelanesofmanchester.blogspot.com/2011/04/fallowfield-loop-sainsburys-tunnel.html Camapigns have been running for decades to reopen this tunnel originally the reopening was objected to by GMPolice . NB this line is NOT a mistake it's where the cycleway should be routed .
